Data Collected, Purposes, and Legal Basis
Protera collects standard user information, such as name, email address, and other necessary data for account creation, administration, and communication purposes based on the legal basis of contractual necessity. Additionally, Protera will store and process the User’s protein-related data provided and owned by the User for the purpose of training AI algorithms based on the legal basis of legitimate interests. If Protera decides to use cookies in the future, their purposes and legal basis will be clearly communicated and updated in this Policy.
Data Storage and Encryption
Protera uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) for secure data storage and encryption. By using the Platform, you acknowledge and agree that your personal data and [R&D data] will be stored and encrypted using AWS services.
Data Retention
Protera will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable laws and regulations. Inactive accounts, defined as accounts with no activity for two years, will be deleted along with their associated data. After the data is no longer needed, it will be securely deleted.

Under GDPR, you have several rights regarding your personal data, including:
